Petition to Break Residency The last 30 credits applied to the degree must be completed in residence at the University of Florida. Participation in a UF-approved study abroad or exchange program is not considered a break in residence. However, students must see an advisor to Complete the top portion of the form, and Sections 1 and 2. Satisfactory Academic Progress Petition Deadlines* *Late appeal submissions are subject to federal regulations with regard to the awarding and/or disbursement of financial aid funds. Students transferring to UF with an A.A. degree from a Florida public community college or with 60 or more transfer credits earned from another college or university get only two drops. Students who can document extenuating circumstances may petition their college for additional drops. Approval to drop a course must be obtained from your college.
